Husbands has dedicated her senior year to enjoying it to its fullest potential, she says this year is full of unique opportunities and wants to make as many lasting memories as she can.
“My senior year goal is to say yes to everything,” said Husbands. “Although this was my goal throughout Nicholls, I believe it’s especially important in the final semesters of college.”
Growing up in Thibodaux allowed Husbands to build strong relationships and form a sense of community. She said this sense of community heavily influenced her decision to stay home and attend Nicholls.
“Nicholls has an amazing atmosphere, especially because of its welcoming sense of community,” Husbands said. “I love the close-knit feeling and thrive when I’m able to make personal connections with people.”
After college Husbands intends to own a dental practice in the Thibodaux community, where she can foster the connections she already has and form new ones in the place she calls home.
“I can not wait to become a dentist and restore confidence through people’s smiles,” Husbands said.
