Miniclip.com is home to quite a few addicting games. It seems like almost every month, a new Miniclip game is sweeping the popularity on the Web.

A few months ago, a game was released on the Web called Gravity Guy. Soon after the popularity spread, the game developers at Miniclip decided to spread the popularity even further by making it an iPhone app.

The game is set in the future when defying gravity is illegal; you play a prisoner who escapes to do just that. Gravity Guy puts you in the renegade’s shoes and your objective is to run from the cop so that he doesn’t taser you and turn you into dust. This game already seems like it would be a disaster for a game premise.

Here’s where it gets flipped, literally. Each time you tap the screen while the fugitive runs, gravity is reversed; he jumps to the opposite side of the screen. Depending on whether you’re right side up or not, the delinquent will be defying gravity.

From the looks of it, this game seems super simple, right? Wrong-o. Gravity guy is almost like playing Sonic the Hedgehog mixed with gravity defying elements.

As you clear each goal, the game progresses to a slightly harder part of the game, but it stays on the same path as you were before. This makes it easy for you when you mess up because you begin where your last goal was completed. This can also, however, be extremely annoying.

This game is insanely addicting. I honestly could not stop playing when I first downloaded the free version, despite how many times I kept falling off of the level or the countless times I was tasered by the policeman.

This is one of those games that you actually want to keep playing despite how frustrating it gets.

Being that the game was created from the original Miniclip game, the graphics have remained the same and I don’t believe that fans of the game really care about that anyway. Be as that may, Gravity Guy is a creative way for you to want to throw your phone at a wall and still pick it up just to finish the level.

I give the game an 8 out of 10. For the Geekly Weekly, I’m Donny, happy gaming fellow geeks.
