Why would you want to cover oranges?

The other day I was checking the app store because I figured I was in need of some new apps. Being the scrooge that I am I only looked for the free apps. Upon checking out the best free apps I stumbled upon this little game called, “Cover Oranges”.

The basic objective is, yep, you guessed it, to cover oranges from an evil acid rain cloud that spews little acid rain balls all over the level.

How do you accomplish this hard task? There are objects throughout each level that you have to place just right over the top of the oranges to protect the little oranges.

People have said it’s like playing angry birds but this time around you’re playing as the pigs instead of the birds. It sure feels that way but after a few levels, this game gets real boring.

Copying off of games like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, Cover Orange has a three star rating system after you compete each level. It almost feels like a boring opposite side of the fence angry birds game.

To be quite honest, I didn’t like the game much.  I got past maybe the first nine levels and all I was left with was a little less juice on my phone’s battery life.

Now don’t get me wrong, the game plays well and the graphics look like any other cartoony game, I just don’t seem to find the game that interesting.

If you’re looking to at least try out the game you can find a flash version of Cover Orange on the Internet, just type it in on Google and you can actually find the first and second game the programmer has made.

I don’t believe this game is worth spending your 99 cents. Although the touch screen controls are okay and the graphics are sub-par, the game is just not that fun or interesting. I give the game a 3 out 10. For the Geekly Weekly, I’m Donny. Happy Gaming.
