Nicholls’ law enforcement released police reports spanning the last several weeks. The report details domestic disturbances, a hit and run and the seizure of illegal drugs on campus.
Feb. 10 | 2:14 p.m.
Maintenance was called to Brady Hall after a malfunctioning door left a resident trapped inside their room. A maintenance worker was able to fix the door and free the student.
Feb. 10 | 10:07 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a possible altercation in a Brady Hall room. Officers made contact with the occupants of the room and began an investigation.
Feb. 11 | 8:25 a.m.
A student reported a hit and run in the Scholars Hall parking lot. The officer took the report and began an investigation.
Feb. 17 | 12:11 a.m.
An officer responded to a domestic disturbance in Brady Hall, resulting in the arrest of one of the subjects.
Feb. 19 | 8:09 p.m.
Dispatch received a call of a suspicious vehicle adjacent to the Pupil Appraisal Center emitting the odor of marijuana. After conducting an investigation, the officer recovered illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. The student was referred to disciplinary officials.
Feb. 22 | 3:28 p.m.
Dispatch received a report of a baseball player having a seizure at Didier Field. The student was seen by paramedics then transported to Thibodaux Regional.
Feb. 23 | 1:38 p.m.
Dispatch received a call about a student cutting themselves in the Ledet Culinary Arts Building. The student was transported to Thibodaux Regional.
