Nicholls Athletics inducted six members into the Nicholls State University Hall of Fame in the Danos Theater in Talbot Hall before kickoff on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The 2025 class included Stephanie Barnett (women’s tennis, 2014-19), James Bergeron (baseball, 1970-73), Kali Clement (softball, 2018-19), Chase Fourcade (football, 2016-2019), and Matt Roan (athletics director, 2016-2020).
The department also honored three new members of the Hall of Distinction – Trey Boucvalt, Amelie Talbot, and Stephen Watson.
Nicholls President Jay Clune praised the honorees for their leadership and resilience.
“Today’s inductees join the ranks of the best Nicholls has ever had,” Clune said. “From student athletes who excelled not only in competition, but in the classroom. To administrators who not only led us to the top of the Southland Conference but did so on the smallest budget in the conference.”
Saturday was not only a celebration of a dominant win on the field, but also a recognition of those who helped build the program’s foundation.
