Nicholls faculty, staff and students mourn the loss of student Summer Trosclair, 26, who died Monday afternoon.
Besides attending classes, Trosclair was the assistant administrator, summer camp director and child care director at the YMCA in Houma.
“Summer worked for me ever since she got out of high school, not just at the Y but at several different places,” Angi Falgout, CEO of the YMCA and lifelong friend, said.
Family and friends knew Trosclair as someone who had a great personality and was always happy.
“She always had a smile on her face. She was always a very happy person,” Falgout said.
Trosclair graduated from Ellender Memorial High School in 2003 and attended L.E. Fletcher Technical College before attending Nicholls.
Visitation will start today from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.
