Nicholls will remain closed through Friday, Aug. 31 as a result of Tropical Storm Isaac. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Students who cannot attend class on Tuesday due to hardship should contact their instructors through Moodle or email. If students do not have access to the Internet, they are asked to call the Nicholls Advising Center at (985) 448-4117 and leave their name, N number, contact phone number, and anticipated return-to-school date.

Facilities, grounds and custodial staff are to report to work at noon on Thursday, Aug. 30, at Ayo Auditorium to begin assessment and prepare the campus for faculty, staff, and students.

University offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday Aug. 31. Staff members who are unable to report to work on this day should contact their supervisors.

Fee Payments

Refund percentages will be pushed back 5 class days. They will be based on the fourth class day being Tuesday, Sept. 4, rather than Monday, Aug. 27. The new fourteenth class day will be Tuesday, Sept. 18 rather than Monday, Sept. 10.

A revised academic calendar will be released as soon as possible.
