University Health Services postpones COVID testing

Nicholls State University Director of Communications Jerad David sent out an email today regarding University Health Services’ COVID-19 testing.

David announced that University Health Services will not be offering COVID-19 testing to students this afternoon.

He explained that UHS will be setting up for the vaccination of qualifying students and faculty, including some Nursing and Allied Health students attending Nicholls and Fletcher, faculty over the age of 70 and first responders in the area.

He also informed that anyone utilizing UHS’s testing services must call ahead to schedule an appointment to prevent an overflow of people. Students and faculty can call 985-493-2600 to schedule an appointment with University Health Services.

The Louisiana National Guard will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing in front of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
