With an interest in mass communication, Sarah Pressley, freshman from Baton Rouge, displays her personality by getting to know students.
Pressley enjoys sitting in the quadrangle between Zeringue and Millet halls greeting each person that passes by.
“My friend, Leah and I just talk to anybody that goes in and out the dorms,” Pressley said. “It is super fun.”
Pressley runs women’s cross-country for Nicholls, but she is currently out for an injury. She now spends her time watching movies or reality TV. When you don’t see her, she is probably taking her daily nap.
Q: What do you catch yourself doing when you are alone?
A: I am usually talking to myself. If I’m mad about homework I just cuss about how hard it is. I have loads of homework this semester.
Q: What is the worst job you ever had to do?
A: I worked at Dearman’s, which is a hamburger restaurant. It was the nastiest place ever. Once, my co-worker threw raw meatballs at the wall and just cleaned it up with a towel. It’s weird because people really love to eat there.
Q: If you were trapped in a movie, what movie would you be trapped in?
A: I want to be trapped in the movie 300. I want to be like one of the gladiators’ wives. I like that time period.
Q: What is your favorite past time?
A: It is definitely watching movies. Recently I got Netflix and I am obsessed with it. I just finished watching Spartacus.
Q: What is one thing that you recommend people should try?
A: People should be friendly to everyone. I believe people do not talk to other people enough.
Q: What is your favorite thing to cook?
A: I don’t cook, but I can fix salad.
Q; What is something you like to do in the springtime?
A: I love being outside in the sun. Laying outside or even just walking makes me feel better.
Q: What is the longest you’ve ever run?
A: I have run 11 miles. It is horrible. I don’t recommend it.
Q: What is one song that you cannot stop listening to?
A: I like the song “Who Dat Girl” by Flo Rida featuring Akon. I love it.
Q; If you can play any sport, what would it be?
A: Probably water polo because all the guys are good-looking.
Q: Who is one person you would trade places with for a day?
A: Kathy Griffin. I love her so much. I would love to live her life. She is hilarious.
Q: If you could teach a class at Nicholls, what would you teach?
A: It would be called “How to make friends and talk to people.” We really should have that class.
