Lafourche Parish officials are enacting a curfew ahead of Hurricane Francine’s expected landfall on the Louisiana coast on Wednesday evening.
Curfew will be in effect from 12:00 p.m on Wednesday. Sept. 11 through sunrise on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Jarad David, Nicholls State University director of communications, notified students of the curfew in an email on Tuesday.
“The effects of Tropical Storm Francine will increase significantly by noon tomorrow, so it is imperative that individuals be off the roadways and in their homes by this point,” David said.
David added that University Police and Thibodaux Police will be patrolling campus to enforce the curfew.
