On Tuesday, Dean of Students Janice Lyn announced that Welcome Back Day would be moved from the quad to the Bollinger Student Union from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Director of Communications at Nicholls State University, Jerad David identified the move as precautionary due to the forecast of excessive heat with temperatures expected to reach 103 degrees.
“We want our campus community to have an enjoyable celebration in the comfort of the student union,” said David.
