Local Fall Activities

Local Fall Activities

As the fall weather finally creeps in, it is finally comfortable enough to spend time outside. More people are starting to plan activities with friends and family as Halloween and Thanksgiving approach.

Here are a few fun local activities to enjoy during this Fall season.

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Go with friends and family to choose pumpkins for carving, painting, cooking, and decorating!

Here are a few locations:

Houma Pumpkin Patch – Schriever

Montz Pumpkin Farm – Laplace

Mrs.Heather’s Pumpkin Patch – Hammond

Have a Bonfire

Backyard fires are one of my personal favorites because of hanging out with friends and family while making smores and having fun.

Haunted Houses

Plenty of people love going to Haunted Houses around Halloween time. It’s a fun experience and sometimes can be funny if you go with friends!

Here are a few popular locations:

New Orleans Nightmare Haunted House – New Orleans

The Mortuary Haunted House – New Orleans

13th Gate Haunted House – Baton Rouge

Go to a Corn Maze

Corn Mazes are another classic fall activity that could be fun for the family and some friends!

Here are a few locations:

Houma Pumpkin Patch – Schriever

Montz Pumpkin Farm – Laplace

Mrs.Heather’s Pumpkin Patch – Hammond

Visit the Renaissance Festival

This is my absolute favorite activity to do in the fall. The Renaissance Fair in Hammond is so fun, from awesome foods and snacks, to entertaining shows, demonstrations, and even little booth shops! It is definitely worth checking out! It is located in Hammond, LA.

Shop at a Farmer’s Market

Farmer’s Markets are a great way to support local small businesses! You can get some pretty neat things and still have a great time!

Watching Scary Movies

Last but not least are scary movies! I love to get cozy on the couch or my bed with my blanket and some popcorn and watch something spooky!
