AC/DC’s latest single, “Shot in the Dark”  has been released. The song is part of their upcoming album, Power Up, or PWR/UP.

The new album will be releasing later this year on Nov. 13. This will be the first album released since the death of their original rhythm guitarist, Malcom Young, who passed away in November 2017.

Young’s brother, Angus confirmed the album will be a tribute to the guitarist. The album was recorded by the band between late 2018 and early 2019. This album will be the band’s 17 album released internationally.

If the rest of the album is anything like “Shot in the Dark,” AC/DC fans will be in for a real treat. Since the release, the song has received mostly positive reviews. I also rather enjoyed it.

I thought the vocals by Brian Johnson were still great after 40 years. The instrumentals were also exceptional as always. This new release has brought a little bit of light into 2020. As a longtime fan of AC/DC, I personally cannot wait for the rest of the album to release this November.
