Women’s tennis looks to get back in the win column:

The Nicholls State University women’s tennis team looks to snap a nine-game losing streak and notch their first home victory of the season. On Tuesday, the Colonels take on the Richmond Spiders in Thibodaux at 12 p.m. They play their second home game of the week when they take on the Redbirds of Illinois State on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Colonels then head out on the road to take on the University of New Orleans Privateers on Saturday at 2 p.m. in New Orleans.

Baseball looks to bounce back after dropping a weekend series at home:

The Colonels will host the Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley State for a two-game homestand set for Tuesday and Wednesday. The series will begin on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. and conclude on Wednesday at 12 p.m. The baseball team will then shift their gears to a weekend home series against a Southland Conference foe, the University of Central Arkansas. The first pitch will be Friday night at 6 p.m., game two will be Saturday night at 6 p.m. and the series finale will be Sunday at 2 p.m.

Men’s tennis starts and will end the week with two home matches:

The Colonels will take on the Northern Illinois Huskies on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Thibodaux. They will close out their week at home against Xavier University on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Women’s and men’s basketball are both Katy, TX, bound:

Both the women’s and men’s basketball programs have qualified for the Southland Conference tournament. The tournaments will begin Wednesday night with the men and conclude on Sunday afternoon with the women’s conference championship game. The women will enter the tournament as the number six seed, and they will take on the number seven seed, University of Incarnate Word Cardinals, on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. The men will enter the tournament at the number three seed, and they will begin action on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. They will face the winner of Lamar and McNeese.

Softball will look to defend home field during a weekend battle with a conference foe:

The Colonels will be home for the weekend as they face Abilene Christian for a three-game series. The series will begin on Friday with a doubleheader, and game one of the series will take place at 5 p.m., followed by game two, which will take place at 7 p.m. The series will conclude on Saturday with the first pitch coming at 12 p.m. 

Track and Field will begin their indoor season:

The Colonels will look to carry over the momentum from their outdoor season over to indoors. Their season will begin on Saturday in Lake Charles for the McNeese State Track and Field Cowboy Relays.

Beach Volleyball will head to Houston for the weekend:

The Colonels will travel to Houston for the Southland Conference Roundup. They will play four matches in two days, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Their first match will be Saturday morning at 10 a.m. against Abilene Christian, followed by a 5 p.m. battle against Central Arkansas. On Sunday, the Colonels will face Stephen F. Austin at 9 a.m. They will end their weekend with a 1 p.m. match against Houston Baptist University.
