Nicholls State University graduate Mary Myers said she is looking for southern chefs who would be interested in participating in the Food Network’s television show, Guy’s Grocery Games.

Guy’s Grocery Games is a television show in Los Angeles, California, where three contestants will compete against each other. Each round introduces a new challenge that will test the contestants’ creativity. The contestants have limited options each round.

Myers said the network is looking for any chefs that are Sioux chef and above. All contestants must be workers at a restaurant, but cannot work for catering or as private chefs.

“They have to work at a restaurant that is open to the public,” Myers said.

Myers is also looking for line cooks that range from the ages of 18 to 23. Myers said the contestants interested must be able to serve food that has a nice presentation.

Participants have the chance to win $20,000, as well as gain national exposure.

Myers also said the company will pay for the contestants’ plane ticket to California, as well as the contestants’ hotel room. Contestants will stay in Los Angeles for three to four days.

Meyers said anyone interested in participating can email her at [email protected].
