Anthony Fletcher, business pre-law sophomore from Vacherie, has a busy schedule. Along with being president of S.E.A.L.S., he is also a two-year orientation leader.
Q: How do you balance your academics with being so involved in student life?
A: “It is something that I have been doing since high school. It is something that I am just acclimated to do.”
Q: What is the best thing about S.E.A.L.S?
A: “We have a very diverse group of team leaders; we have a good focus and a lot of energy to achieve it.”
Q: What is your goal for S.E.A.L.S.?
A: “My goal is to give it a new focus.”
Q: What is the best thing about being an orientation leader?
A: “The best things would be the contacts that you meet that prepare you for the future and the experience you get from it. I get to tell incoming freshmen what my school has to offer.”
Q: What was the funniest thing that happened while being on the road for orientation workshops?
A: “At Southern Regional Orientation Workshop, we made jokes about everything that we saw.”
Q: Why did you leave Student Programming Association?
A: “I left SPA because I wanted to put all of my focus on one program. I want to break S.E.A.L.S. away from peer assistance.”
Q: What do you tell students is the best thing about Nicholls?
A: “Whatever you put into it is what you get. The best thing to do is to get involved.”
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: “I love to spend time with my friends, working at Express Men in Southland Mall, meeting new people, the Internet, reading and going to church.”
Q: What do you want to do to help improve the world?
A: “I like helping people. I like making sure that everyone’s needs are met. I like doing things that impact the world.”
Q: What is your favorite type of food to eat?
A: ” I like Chinese food
