Nicholls students and local vendors team up to bring style and creativity to the NAACP’s 14th Annual Homecoming Fashion Show.
Hosted every year by the Nicholls NAACP chapter, the event hits the runway Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. in the Nicholls Ballroom.
Local favorites like Dillard’s, Juju’s Boutique, Neek & Co, Freewear, Amenity, African Dreamworks, and the Nicholls Bookstore will showcase fresh looks aimed squarely at college students.
“The show gives vendors the chance to spotlight whatever clothes they think will catch the eye of college students,” said the NAACP chapter president.
But it’s not just about the clothes. Nicholls student models inject personality and flair with their own original runway segments—bringing the show to life.
“The models of the show are all Nicholls students, working hard every week at rehearsals to put on the best show possible,” the NAACP chapter president said.
“The show mixes runway looks from local vendors with creative performances designed and choreographed by the models themselves,” the president added.
The fun doesn’t stop on the runway—audience members can participate in contests and win door prizes during intermissions.
The show is open to everyone including students, faculty, and the community. Admission is free for students and $10 for the general public.
