Nicholls’ Student Programming Association is hosting its annual Crawfish Day on April 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Family Day parking lot.

Crawfish Day is a tradition that has been around for over 50 years. There will be over 4,000  pounds of boiled crawfish, live music and giveaways.

In addition to Crawfish Day, SPA made this week Crawfish Week. SPA hosted different activities this week, from a crawfish scavenger hunt to a late-night crawfish breakfast, and Caps for the Colonels at the Nicholls vs. LSU baseball game.

Heaven Guillory, SPA vice president, said that hosting multiple events before Crawfish Day will hopefully get the campus ready for the biggest event of spring semester.

“We hope that students will take memories and a desire to stay engaged from this week! We encourage students to take photos throughout the week and make as many memories as you can,” said Guillory.
