The SGA approved a motion to replace and repurpose eight outdoor tables at the student union during its weekly meeting on Oct. 28.
The Senate approved nine motions at this week’s meeting.
Approved motions included funding travel for a fraternity conference, purchasing hygiene products for the Colonel Closet and the motion to replace and repurpose the eight outdoor tables.
One senator pointed out that the tables outside the student union show signs of wear. His motion included a proposal to relocate the eight original tables outside the library where students can utilize the seating.
Four new tables matching the color schemes of Nicholls will be placed in the outdoor seating area.
The project is expected to cost $6,000, and funding will be drawn from the campus improvements fund.
