Nicholls State University’s Career Services held the All Majors Career Fair on Wednesday from 10 a.m to 1:30 p.m. in the Bollinger Student Union Ballroom.
Seventy employers represented over 24 companies. Included in that list was Nicholls University’s Graduate Studies.
Grant Ordoyne, coordinator of University Graduate Studies, said the All Majors Career Fair went “very well” and that many students showed “interest in pursuing their graduate degree”.
“Mrs. Katherine Mabile, director of Career Services, and her team, always do a great job with planning and executing. It’s an event that our office looks forward to attending each year,” said Ordoyne.
To prepare for future career fairs, students should dress in business casual attire, download the Handshake app, and, as advised by Katherine Mabile, Career Services director, research employers, polish their résumés, and practice their elevator pitches.
Additional career help can be found in the Career Services office located on the first floor of Ellender Memorial Library, across from the Brew. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
