Easter events taking place around the Nicholls Community
With Easter quickly approaching, our community and surrounding areas have planned events for your enjoyment. From Easter egg hunts to a picnic with the Easter Bunny, there is certainly something that suits everyone. Take some time this Easter season to enjoy some family time, and take advantage of the fun events close to home!
HOPkids Easter Family Celebration
April 9th from 12pm-3pm

House of Prayer church is putting on an afternoon of fun this Saturday. They will be sharing a message of love and celebration. This event will include food, music, and fun activities for all. Everyone is invited to this family event!
Easter Eggstravaganza
April 9th from 11am-1pm
Ellender Memorial Library Field
Thibodaux, LA
Chick-fil-A at Nicholls state is putting on this event that will be held on Nicholls campus at the Ellender Memorial Library Field. Admission is $10. This includes face painting, balloon art, an Easter egg hunt, a photo with CFA cow, bubble station, and a chicken sandwich or nugget combo. This event is free for children two years and under.
The Great Bayou Country Easter Egg Drop
April 9th from 10am-2pm
Houma Airbase
Houma, LA
Bayou Radio Group and Thibodaux Regional Health System are proud to put on this event. Ages 2-12 can participate. Free food will include burgers, hot dogs, and sausage from Bourgeois Meat Market. Jambalaya will be provided by The Krewe of Mardi Gras. Bounce houses will be provided by Fun in The Sun Inflatables. Sno-balls will be provided by Brooke’s Sno-World. There will also be games and prizes, with a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny. Most importantly, for the main event, over 15,00 candy and prize filled eggs will drop from the sky!
WellFit Kids: Healthy Easter Fun

Come decorate your Easter basket and fill it with your favorite fruits and veggies! Thibodaux Regional Health System WellFit Kids is a monthly class in partnership with the Bayou Country Children’s Museum where children and families can learn about ways to enhance well-being through healthy lifestyle choices. Registered dieticians and fitness trainers lead children and families through activities to help them learn the benefits of making healthy food choices, and that increasing physical activity levels can be both healthy and fun. This program is free to the public and is for children 3-8 years old. Coco the Alligator from the Bayou Country Children’s Museum will also be there to do a craft or experiment!
Picnic with the Easter Bunny
April 10th from 2pm-4pm

Houma, LA
What’s better than a picnic with the Easter Bunny? This event will be held for the first time this Sunday from 2pm-4pm. Bring one non-perishable food item to join in on the fun. There will be crafts, games, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
