As the pandemic keeps forcing music festivals to be canceled in 2020, Austin City Limits (ACL) will be held entirely online this year. 

ACL initially announced their cancellation of this year’s festival earlier in July saying, 

“We would have loved to put on another memorable show this year, however, with the uncertainty surrounding the current situation in Texas, this decision is the only responsible solution.”

However, they have come back with the news that the festival will be streamed live from their Youtube channel starting at 7 p.m. CST every night from Friday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct.11. 

ACL will air a free broadcast of curated performances from previous years featuring artists such as Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Twenty One Pilots and Radiohead. The stream will also include exclusive backstage footage of the making of the festival. 

The festival is planning for the return to its home in Zilker Park to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year in October. While we wait for next year’s festival to come along, this live stream is a great opportunity to get together with friends and enjoy an ACL filled watch party!
