Men’s basketball picks up final two wins of the season:

On March 6, the Colonels picked up a win against Northwestern State at home with a final score of 83-60.

The men finished off their regular season with a win against Southeastern Louisiana on March 9, making their final record of the regular season 14-17 overall.

Women’s basketball finishes historic regular season ahead of SLC Tournament:

The women’s basketball team defeated Northwestern State 89-67 on March 6 in Natchitoches.

On March 9, Senior Day took place in Stopher Gymnasium, where the Colonels picked up a 72-55 win against Southeastern.

With that win, the program made history by winning 20 games in the regular season for the first time.

The Colonels are set to compete in the Southland Conference Tournament in Katy, Texas, beginning on March 15.

Baseball wins first conference series of the season:

After dropping the first of three games against UNO on March 8, the baseball team managed to win its last two games on the following days.

The Colonels lost their first game 2-3, won their second 3-2 and won their final game with a score of 9-1.

The team will be back in action against Alcorn State on March 12 at home.

Softball comes out on top in conference opener against Central Arkansas:

The softball team came out strong against Central Arkansas, winning 8-2 on March 9 and 3-1 the following day. The Colonels lost their third game of the series 0-2.

On March 13, the women are set to play UL-Lafayette before returning to conference play against Incarnate Word on March 15.

Women’s tennis drops short twice against Northwestern and Central Arkansas:

The women’s tennis team came up short against Northwestern at home 2-5. Senior Stephanie Barnet and sophomore Marina Vigil managed to pick up wins in singles.

On March 10, the women lost 0-7 at home against Central Arkansas.

They will be back in action on March 15 and 16 at home against Florida A&M and UNO.

Women’s soccer loses offseason game:

The women’s soccer team lost 5-0 in a scrimmage against Southeastern. The team is set to play six more scrimmages in the offseason.
