Nicholls golf wrapped up the 2017 portion of the schedule with a ninth-place finish in the
Pinetree Intercollegiate tournament. The Colonels improved from day one to day two, moving
from 11 th overall to ninth on the last day of the tournament. The par for the tournament was set at

the par set at 288. That performance placed them at 11 th overall for the day. Chad Wyatt-Denyes

over par. The University of Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky University tied for the lead
on the first day with scores of 287, one under par.

On day two, the Colonels shot a 306, a one stroke improvement from day one’s results.

This one stroke difference was good enough to move Nicholls up two spots as they finished ninth
overall on the tournament. The Colonels finished the tournament with a score of 613. Albert
Badosa-Soler lead the way for Nicholls as he posted a day two score of 74. Soler finished tied for
23 rd overall individually.

weeks ago. In another tournament that was shortened to two rounds by weather, Nicholls placed
12 th overall out of 13 teams. The Colonels followed a day one score of 317 with a day two score
of 319, giving them a score of 636 on the tournament, 60 over par set at 576. Host Louisiana

State University won the tournament with a score of 565. Connor Campbell and Albert Badosa-
Soler tied for a team high finish at 47 th overall.

Nicholls will next play in 2018 as they take an extended break for the rest of the year.
They will return to action in February as they travel to Alabama to take place in the Mobile
