As I was walking through the Student Union, I decided to have a little fun by randomly selecting six students and having them answer eight questions about some student-athletes here at Nicholls.
The students are of every age, race, classification, creed and sex.
Here are the six answers to the questions in my version of Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking.” The correct answers are in parentheses after the questions.

8.) Why are Colonels junior running back Travis Felder and sophomore running backs David Plaisance and LeJuan Walker called the “Killer Smurfs” by head football coach Daryl Daye? (Because they are all small in stature but dangerous special teams kick returners)
None of the students guessed the right answer.
Three students said because they all have blue skin.
One student said because they ate too many vegetables when they were growing up.
One student said because they beat up anyone who picked on them in grade school.
