It is the highest honor to be bestowed upon any student at Nicholls; being voted as Mr or Mrs Nicholls. After a vote from more than 2,000 students, Stephanie Ledet was voted Mrs Nicholls and Joe Riley was voted Mr Nicholls. These two students are considered the best of the best on campus.In order to be considered for this great honor, all nominees must have earned at least a 2.5 grade point average and must have been active in student organizations. Finalists for the honor are selected by a committee of students, faculty and staff. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholls are chosen by popular vote by Nicholls State students.
Mrs Nicholls, Stephanie Ledet
Ledet is a Pre-medicine senior from Thibodaux. She is president of Delta Zeta Sorority and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She is an Orientation student coordinator, an NSU student recruiter and a representative on the Greek Council and the Panhellenic Council.
Ledet was also recognized by “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” in 2001.

Mr Nicholls, Joseph Riley
Riley, a graduating senior from Liberty, is an Elementary Education major. He is a student assistant coach and a letterman on the Colonels football team. Riley was twice named to the Commissioner’s All-Academic Team while at Nicholls State.
He is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was a member of the 2001 Homecoming Court and was named 2002 Greek Man of the Year for the National Panhellenic Council.
