Named All-SLC First Team Punter and LSWA Second Team Punter, Patrick Dolan has something to kick his heels about. As a red shirt freshman in 2007, Dolan played in four games and punted five times with an average of 49.6 and a long of 65 yards against Northwestern State University.
Dolan played in all nine games his sophomore year and had 38 punts for a 42.4 average and a long of 57 yards against Memphis.
Dolan took some time out of his busy schedule to talk with The Nicholls Worth about football, school and a little lagniappe.
Q. Living as far away as Mobile, Alabama, why did you choose to come to Nicholls?
A. “They gave me a great opportunity and I had a chance of starting when I came here. It was too good to pass up.”
Q. What is your major?
A. “I’m currently enrolled in marketing.”
Q. Are there any game rituals we should know about?
A. “I listen to techno before games.”
Q. What is your career highlight?
A. “My first punt as a starter because it landed on the one-yard line.”
Q. What is your favorite movie?
A. “I love Joe Dirt.”
Q. What is your favorite T.V. show?
A. “It has to be Home Improvement”
Q. What type of music do you listen to?
A. “I listen to anything.”
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. “I like anything with potatoes in it.”
Q. What is your most embarrassing moment?
A. “One summer at camp, I was wet and I slipped out of my flip-flops and fell. The place was crowded.”
Q. What do you do for fun?
A. “I’m an outdoorsman, so, I like to be in the mountains, on the beach, etc. but now, I live in Louisiana.
