The Nicholls community lost two students last week. Kayla L. Foret, 19, freshman from Houma, died Sep. 20 after losing a struggle with cancer.
“She influenced people in ways others can’t,” Kayla Hebert, a friend of Foret, said.
“She was just there when you needed her to be.”
Lacey L. Guidry, 18, freshman from Cut Off, was killed when she lost control of her car and struck a utility pole while driving south on Hwy. 308 near Lafourche Crossing.
The influence of alcohol is not suspected in the accident, which took place Sep. 17.
