“Megiddo,” the sequel to “The Omega Code,” is about the end of the world depicting how the Antichrist will rise to rule the nation and have control over the world. Stone Alexander is a child possessed by Satan. He tries to kill his baby brother while coping with this mother’s death.
While Stone sets his baby brother’s crib on fire, he stands back with a smirk on his face not regretting the hateful words he whispered to his brother beforehand. He is positive that the baby is the cause for his mother’s death.
After this, Stone continues down the path of destruction. Stone’s father sends him to military school. The treatment Stone receives in the academy leaves the doors of communication open for Satan.
Megiddo may sound familiar to people who have read its story in the Bible. The story is found in the Revelation, and tells about all the wars that were fought at that site.
The Antichrist in the movie is played by three actors. The youngest incarnation of Stone is played by Gavin Fink, which is probably one of the toughest roles to play.
He has to be able to capture the audience’s heart with his innocence, and later make them jump out of their seats when the evil embedded in him reaches out to take the souls of others.
The handsome Noah Huntley plays Stone as he realizes the true extent of his powers. He has convinced himself he is great and refuses to let anyone get in the way of making his plans a reality.
The mesmerizing Gabrielle Francini, played by Elisa Sciapli, captures the heart of Stone. It is not only Stone who is mesmerized by Gabrielle, but his brother David also finds himself in a trance when he meets Gabrielle for the first time.
Michael Biehn plays the role of David. When Stone sees David and Gabrielle talking to one another, he walks up to the both of them and asks Gabrielle to marry him. Although the actual wedding was not shown, they are married later in the movie.
After a series of events, the scene is taken over by the talented Michael York who plays the role of the adult Stone.
Throughout the movie David and Stone combat each other. Stone’s attempts to take over the world bring death to many people.
He quickly forgets his role as peacemaker when he sees he has all ten nations right where he wants them. He starts to consider himself a god and wants people to bow down to him. The Antichrist rapidly changes into a beast as the end approaches.
When Stone thinks he has all the nations on his side he wants to begin a war against God. This war takes place in Megiddo, the land he has chosen for his war against God. David attempts to stop his brother’s destruction.
The characters’ names are not a coincidence. David is widely known to be a prominent Biblical figure, and Stone’s character is hardened to the world.
The movie’s ending is very satisfying and actually drew applause from the audience.
With all that has happened in our nation in the last few weeks, the ending of “Megiddo” can certainly be seen as a light at the end of the tunnel.
