Members of the office of financial aid are encouraging students who have been impacted by the recent flooding to fill out the free forms located in the financial aid office. Garrett Clement, associate director of financial aid, said that assistance is not only being offered to victims of the flood. If a student or members of his or her household have experienced a significant shift in income due to job loss, they may also qualify. “Everybody’s circumstance is different. We will take you individually and discuss what we are going to do just for you.” Clement said. “We are always available to help, any time of the year.” Students interested in applying for additional aid can contact the office of financial aid by calling (985) 448-4048 to meet with a counselor.
