Already trailing 13-0 in the second half, X-Factor drove down the field for its lone touchdown of the game, cutting the LA Purchase lead to 13-7.
“That was the first touchdown we gave up all year,” Fusilier said. “It was charity. I had the flag. I should have pulled it.”

With one week remaining in the regular season and two weeks until the playoffs begin in flag football, intramural coordinator Michael Abadie, business administration junior from Slidell, said he expects competition to increase with everyone fighting for the last playoff spots.
Despite setbacks from hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Abadie said the season has been good. He said this year’s teams are more competitive because people are separated from one another.
“They didn’t just make two or three solid teams that would just go out and kill everybody else,” Abadie said. “It’s like a salary cap type deal. Not everybody wanted to play. Everybody wanted to be single superstars on each team so that separated it a lot.”
As of press time Tuesday afternoon, U.S.D.A. and Whoosier Daddy were at the top of the red division, while LA Purchase was undefeated in the gray division.
