The Thibodaux Playhouse, Inc., is pleased to present two summer musicals at the Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center Theater.Wonderland, a children’s musical production, is a silly adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Through the Looking Glass.” With hip-hopping music, it is an upbeat, coming-of-age story that audiences of all ages will adore. All seats are $5. Show times are: today at 2 p.m., Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Fantasticks, the longest-running musical in the world, will begin July 22. It is a tale of young lovers who become disillusioned, only to discover a more mature, meaningful love. It is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time. Show times are: July 22-24 and July 29-31 at 7:30 p.m. and July 25 and August 1 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and children.
