The Student Programming Association’s annual Crawfish Day will be held from noon to 5 p.m. April 26 in John L. Guidry stadium. Students will be allowed one serving of free crawfish along with snowballs, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and more. Alcohol can be purchased and will be served to those 21 and older.
“There will be a D.J. as well as other novelties,” Alyssa Daigle, SPA president, said. “There will be two different types of carnival rides and antique photos that will also be free.”
Mr. and Ms. Nicholls will be announced at the event at 3:15 p.m. The award was announced in previous years at the Student Educators and Leaders, Student Government Association and SPA awards banquet, but was changed to be revealed at Crawfish Day so more students would be informed of the winner.
Daigle said she is excited and believes it will be a success.
“Students have been looking forward to it for a while and it’s going to be really fun,” she said. “We’ve all been working really hard to make it the best it can be.”
Students who carry seven or more hours get into the event for free but must present a Colonel Card.
