Golf concludes regular season at Southern Intercollegiate:

The men’s golf team is heading to Athens, Ga., for its first action since the Lake Charles Toyota Invitational on March 18 and 19.

Hosted by the University of Georgia, the Southern Intercollegiate is set to take place on April 15, starting at 8 a.m., at the Athens Country Club.

The tournament precedes the golf team’s upcoming trip to the Southland Conference Championships on April 22 through 24.

Softball returns to road for first time since March 27:

The softball team is set to travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., and Lake Charles to face Southern Miss and McNeese following series victories over Incarnate Word on April 9 and 10 and Houston Baptist on April 12 and 13.

These matchups mark the first time that the Colonels have played a road game since March 27 at LSU.

They are looking to improve upon a 10-game win streak.

The women will face Southern Miss on April 16 at 6 p.m. They will also face McNeese on April 19 at 5 p.m. and April 20 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Baseball splits series against Southeastern between Thibodaux and Hammond:

Last time the baseball team faced rival Southeastern, it defeated the Lions 7-6 in the 2018 SLC Tournament to advance to the semifinal round.

On April 18 through 20, the Colonels are set to compete against Southeastern again. The series will take place in both Hammond and Thibodaux.

Their games are set for Thursday and Friday, both at 6 p.m. in Hammond, and Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ray E. Didier Field.

The Colonels are coming off of a series against Incarnate Word on April 12 through 14, in which they fell to the Cardinals on Friday and Sunday and won their game on Saturday.

Beach volleyball faces Southland competitors in final tournament:

The beach volleyball team will face at least five Southland Conference teams at the SLC Beach Volleyball Showcase, its final tournament of the season, in Covington on April 18 through 20.

The women are scheduled to compete against Abilene Christian, New Orleans and Houston Baptist on Thursday at 11a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

On Friday, they will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 12 p.m. and Central Arkansas at 3 p.m.

The team is coming off of an 0-4 showing at the Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge.

Track and field wraps up outdoor regular season:

The men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to compete in the LSU Alumni Gold in Baton Rouge on April 20, following an appearance at the NSU Leon Johnson Invitational hosted by Northwestern on April 12 and 13.

The event marks the teams’ last of the regular season, ahead of the Southland Outdoor Championships scheduled for May 3 through 5 in Natchitoches and the NCAA East Preliminary Round on May 23 through 25 in Jacksonville, Fla.
