Men’s tennis to play final matches of regular season:

The men’s tennis team will play three conference matches in a row to finish off its regular season.

They will face UNO away on April 10, aiming for a second consecutive win over the Privateers following last season’s only conference win.

During the weekend, the men will play athome against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on April 12 and Lamar on April 14.

At the moment, the men are tied with UNO at the bottom of the SLC rankings.

However, winning only two matches will secure them a spot in the SLC Tournament at the end of April.

Women’s tennis team wraps up regular season:

The women’s tennis team is set to play Loyola on April 9 in New Orleans.

The following day, the Colonels will take on UNO away in their ninth conference match of the season.

At home, the women will play their last two matches of the regular season.

Their match on April 12 is against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and their match on April 14 is against Lamar.

Furthermore, Sunday will be senior Stephanie Barnett’s senior day.

Baseball returns home for conference series against Incarnate Word:

The baseball team saw its four-game win streak come to an end after losing to Northwestern in Natchitoches on April 5 and 6.

With this result, the Colonels are now 17-15 overall and 8-6 in conference play.

Coming up, the men are set to play Alcorn State away on April 10 after their previously-scheduled game was postponed.

On April 12 through 14, the Colonels will be back on home soil against Incarnate Word, who at the moment is two spots ahead in the SLC standings with a 9-5 conference record.  

Softball to play two conference series against Incarnate Word and Houston Baptist:

The Nicholls softball team regained the number one spot in the Southland Conference after sweeping the previous leader, Northwestern, in a home series.  

The Colonels are set to play two conference series on home soil, starting with Incarnate Word on April 9 and 10.

Their second series of the week will be against Houston Baptist, who, at the moment, is on a five-game losing streak. The series will be played on April 12 and 13.

Beach volleyball team faces third event of the season:

The beach volleyball team will be back in action against LSU, Spring Hill, UL-Monroe and UNO in its third tournament, Battle on the Bayou, in Baton Rouge on April 12 and 13.

The women’s last tournament took place on March 12 and 13 in Monroe.

Men’s and women’s track and field to compete in Natchitoches:

Both Nicholls’ men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete in their fourth event of the outdoor season, hosted by Northwestern, in Natchitoches from April 12 through 13.
