Baseball travels to Baton Rouge:

On March 15 through 17, the Nicholls State University baseball team came up short against Central Arkansas, losing their first two matchups 3-4 and 0-5.

However, they got a dominating win against Alcorn State University on March 12 with a score of 10-1.

The Colonels will be back in action against LSU in Baton Rouge on Wednesday and play another conference series against Corpus Christi on March 22 through 24 at home.

Softball back on the road after home series postponed:

Softball’s conference series against Incarnate Word set for March 15 and 16 was postponed due to an illness on the Cardinal’s team.

The Colonels lost to No. 10 UL Lafayette with a final score of 0-8 on March 13.

Their next game will take place on March 22, playing Abilene Christian in Abilene, Texas.  

Women tennis battles weather ahead of home match:

The women’s tennis team was down 0-1 after doubles against Florida A&M on March 15, but the match had to be canceled after rain made the courts unplayable.

The team’s conference match against UNO set for March 16 was postponed due to rain as well.

They will play Bradley University on March 20 at home.

Men’s tennis heads to Texas after two matches cancelled/postponed:

Both of the men’s tennis teams’ matches against Bucknell and Florida A&M were canceled due to rain.

The men will face Loyola-New Orleans in New Orleans on March 19 before travelling to Brownsville, Texas, on March 22 to face Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Alcorn State.

Beach Volleyball will play second competition at the ULM Bayou Bash:

The newly-formed beach volleyball team will be back in action for the second time of its season in the ULM Bayou Bash, facing UL-Monroe and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
