Finally, the long-awaited opening of Nicholls’ very own Chick-fil-A has come.

The Nicholls Worth received a few invitations to the soft opening, so here’s what you need to know about this chicken-filled dream come true.

Nicholls’ Chick-fil-A chicken lives up to the taste expectations put in place by the other local Chick-fil-A establishments. With staff including Nicholls students, the workers provided incredible service with smiles to go along with it.

In accordance with the company’s Christian values, Chick-fil-A will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Yes, this means that Chick-fil-A will be open later than the Vernon F. Galliano Dining Hall, which closes at 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, the on-campus Chick-fil-A will be accepting munch money as a form of payment. The restaurant currently seats around 50 people, but because it’s located on a college campus with a typically more sociable collection of people, that capacity is likely to be stretched a bit.

Will Chick-fil-A live up to the hype that’s been growing over the past two years? In my honest opinion, yes it will. Potentially, the only issue that is likely to arise is an increase in traffic and a decrease in parking spots.

However, if you aren’t willing to deal with some extra congestion around campus for a Chick-fil-A, then your priorities might be a little mixed up.

Although I doubt that any major issues will come up, any amount of trouble should be worth the world-famous nuggets and sauce.
