How to survive finals week

May 2, 2018

As we approach the end of the semester and summertime, we are also unfortunately coming up

on finals. Finals week can be a very stressful time, and it is very important to be prepared for all of the
obstacles that come with it. If you are struggling with the idea of finals week, then here are some tips to help you get through it in one piece.

Manage your stress: Finals week is likely the most stressful part of any college semester, and
you will probably need to learn to manage your stress if you don’t already know how. Most people tend
to relieve stress with exercise, music, napping and even petting animals. All of these are liable to help
relieve stress, so if you do find yourself in an overwhelming situation, then look for the nearest puppy.

Take some time for yourself: Remember to set aside some personal time for yourself while
preparing for finals. Without some proper time to relax in your schedule, you’ll probably start to go
crazy. It is important to plan ahead for finals so that you have time to set aside for yourself in the midst
of it all. Whether you spend your free time playing video games, reading a book or hanging out with
friends, be sure to take advantage of that free time while you still have it. All in all, plan ahead; you’ll
thank me later.

Prepare early: Alright. Most importantly, the best thing you can do is start studying and working
immediately. Do yourself a favor by preparing early, instead of cramming everything in the night before.
While cramming may seem like the most efficient strategy for finals, you will have a much easier time if
you spread the work out over the next week. On a side note, although we value your interest in our
content at The Nicholls Worth, you might want to start preparing for your finals if you have nothing else
going on. We have your best interest at heart.

So, what are you waiting for? Start studying now. To be completely honest, lots of us are going
to regret the fact that we’re going to cram, regardless of what anyone says, and some of us won’t regret
it. Try to put your best effort forth over the next few weeks, and good luck on your finals.
