Back by popular demand, the Ironsides Waffles Food Truck made an appearance on Nicholls’ campus Tuesday and will stay through Thursday, serving lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sponsored by Sodexo, Ironsides Waffles accepts Colonel Cash and Munch Money along with cash and credit cards. The truck is located outside the Student Union courtyard near Talbot.
Judging by the long line of customers, students enjoyed the lunch option.
“I had it for the first time last semester, and it was really good. I was happy that it came back,” senior mass communications major Akadya Thompson said.
The menu consists of everything dealing with waffles. Various combinations from bacon and eggs, to a turkey club, to peanut and jelly all on top a waffle serve as the main meals, ranging from $5 to $6. According to Ironsides Waffles, one can “make it a triple threat” and add fries and a drink for $9.
Students can enjoy their meals at the tables in the courtyard.
“I’ve never seen a waffle like this before, but it was surprisingly delicious,” education graduate student Stephanie Barnett said.
“It’s something new,” junior marketing and management major Ahmad Magee said. “It’s something that we don’t have often, so I feel like students are taking advantage of it.”
