The Dutton’s Christmas Show

The Dutton’s Christmas Show, the second performance of the Oh Là Là series, will take
place on November 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mary and Al Danos Theater in Talbot Hall. The
performance is sold out.

The Dutton’s Christmas Show is produced and performed by the 15-member Dutton family
to spread Christmas cheer for the holidays.

The family of three generations has also produced other shows in which they incorporate
their instrumental, singing and dancing abilities.

Since its inception in 1991, The Duttons have performed a variety of acts at theaters
across the country. The family now mainly performs at their theater in Branson, Missouri and at
their hotel in Mesa, Arizona.

Executive Director of Alumni and External Affairs, Monique Crochet, said the Oh Là Là
series was fortunate to schedule the Dutton’s Christmas Show since the Duttons seldom book
shows at different venues.

Comprised of five performances thus far, the Oh Là Là series is in honor of the late Al
Danos, who donated $1 million toward the four-year- renovation of the 55,000 square-foot theater
in Talbot Hall.

Danos’ passion for theatrical performances inspired his close friend, Benny Cenac, to
sponsor the Oh Là Là series, the first series to be performed in the newly renovated theater.
Crochet said Danos’ children named the series after their father’s favorite phrase, ‘Oh Là
Là.’

Oh La La series will host three more performances during the spring semester: the
Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Golden Dragon Acrobats and “The Complete Beatles
Experience” by the Liverpool Legends.

People of the community are welcomed to attend and or sponsor the performances. Crochet
said 30 seats will be reserved for students.

According to a Nicholls press release, “Upper-level season tickets are $125 and single
tickets are $30, while lower-level season tickets are $150 and single tickets are $35.” Tickets can
be purchased from the University Advancement Office on campus.

Crochet said David and Mary Duplantis are sponsoring The Dutton’s Christmas Show.
She said, “The series is a way to enhance student experiences and encourages members of
the community and region to come to our Nicholls campus.”
