Popular Halloween costumes of 2016
October 31, 2016
Halloween is a time when adults and children portray their favorite/least favorite television and movie character, inanimate object or political/celebrity figure. Here are some costumes that are bound to make a debut this Halloween.
Harley Quinn, Joker and clowns
You’re guaranteed to see a few Harley Quinns and Jokers tonight due to Suicide Squad’s popularity, but Harley Quinn and the Joker won’t be the only clowns you’ll encounter. There’s going to be more clown sightings than you can count. You’ll come face-to-face with happy, sad or killer clowns. Do me a favor and don’t wait to see if they’re friendly, just run the other way!
Stranger Things characters
Stranger Things introduced us to many memorable characters. Many people will use their Christmas lights early this year and channel their inner Joyce, a desperate mother trying to find her son. Some will enjoy their Eggos as they pay tribute to Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic powers. Others will remember Barb, a girl who was at the wrong place at the wrong time, because the series, and her parents, kind of forgot about her.
The Walking Dead crew
It’s been a tough week for the Walking Dead fans, but that won’t stop them from sporting “KILLER”, pun intended, costumes. Zombie costumes have been around for years, but the Walking Dead characters are kicking ass as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse. If you see someone walking with a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire, no it’s not someone dressed as Beyoncé.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump
Let’s bring it back to the real world. Regardless of your political party or if you don’t “do” politics, we all can agree it’s been a crazy few months for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Don’t be surprised when you see Purge-themed masks of the presidential candidates. It won’t be pleasant, but isn’t that what Halloween is all about?
