A student reported another student cursing, yelling and throwing his book
bag onto the ground. University Police could not locate the irate student but
identifi ed him with information found in his bag. The belongings will remain
at University Police until the student returns its calls and speaks to the offi cers.
The student’s previous arrests are for disturbing the peace, DUI and battery
on an offi cer in another jurisdiction. A report was forwarded to the Crisis Intervention and Student
Judicial Services.
Jan. 29
A La Maison du Bayou resident reported an injured ankle. University Police responded and called an
ambulance. The student injured the ankle the previous evening while climbing stairs. Medics found
no fracture but advised her to see a doctor. The resident said she would have a friend take her to urgent
care later in the evening.
Jan. 31
University Police took a report on a vehicle whose car window was broken by a foul baseball.
A student fell down while entering Peltier Hall. University Police escorted her to Health Services.
Her boyfriend picked her up from Health Services to take her to a hospital.
A student reported damage to her vehicle and realized she was missing property.
